MPH Program Revisions: Core Courses

Pending University approval, eight courses, 18 SH, are included in the group of core courses that MPH learners will complete beginning in academic year 2025-2026.  Each of the courses include at least one competency related to MPH program accreditation as required by CEPH. Our competency-based program includes new courses dedicated to public health communication and public health policy. The other proposed course titles are similar to existing courses, except with updated, streamlined, and reorganized content. The core curriculum excludes a research methods course, which is included in the concentration-specific content. In the table below, the existing courses are listed in order of course number. The proposed courses are listed based on closest similarity to existing course, irrespective of course number order.
