2020 Annual ECU Distinguished Graduate Faculty Mentor Award

Please join me in extending congratulations to Dr. Kearney, Department of Public Health in the Brody School of Medicine who was selected as this years’ winner of the 2020 Annual ECU Distinguished Graduate Faculty Mentor Award. Dr. Kearney will be recognized during the Research and Creative Activities Week Virtual Awards event (invitation only).

Students and faculty colleagues nominated three outstanding individuals. A selection committee of faculty and students reviewed nomination materials and the awardee was selected based on evidence of success as mentors demonstrated in nomination letters and the nominees’ mentoring statement.

Dr. Kearney is recognized for his success in mentoring graduate students in their intellectual growth; helping them develop independent research interest; and fostering development of their communication skills, interpersonal skills, research skills, and professions skills.
