MPH Internship Profiles – Lillie Malpass

Concentration: Health Behavior

Field Placement Site: Pitt County Coalition on Substance Abuse (PCCSA)

During my internship, I created an Alcohol Purchase Survey Training Manual, participated in Merchant Education, and planned a Drug Free Communities Town Hall event. I was able to build my skills as a health educator and gain valuable experience working with the community and on different grants.

My advice to future MPH students is to take advantage of one of the great graduate assistantships that are offered!
