MPH student and faculty attend N.C. Graduate Education Day in Raleigh
On May 15, 2019 Gabriel Beattie Sergio, MPH/MSEH(c) travelled to Raleigh with Associate Dean Tom McConnell and Vice Associate Dean and Residency Officer, Kathy Cox and his faculty mentor, Dr. Greg Kearney as ECU representatives for N.C. Graduate Education Day. Gabriel and Dr. Kearney were selected by the ECU Graduate School as part of their poster presentation at Research and Creative Achievement Week (RCAW), 2019. Student representatives, faculty and Graduate Dean’s from other UNC-system universities gathered at the state legislative building where they met with state representatives to talk about their research projects. The purpose of the visit was to highlight the importance and benefits of Graduate Education and contributions that were being made in support of higher education.
