MPH Internship Profiles – Hannah Barnett

Concentration: Health Behavior

Field Placement Site: ECU Family Medicine, Research Division-Healthier Lives at School & Beyond

Being on the Healthier Lives team allowed me to learn how school-based telehealth programs operate and gave me first-hand experience working on a grant project. During my internship, I conducted a needs assessment of northeastern NC counties to identify the next school district to implement the program. I also worked on reports to their funders and create questionnaires for stakeholder feedback.

Overall, my experience was incredibly valuable, and I can’t wait to continue working in the field of school health after graduation!
