MPH Internship Profiles – Brittney Harrell

Concentration: Health Behavior

Internship Site: ECU Department of Medicine

While at my internship, I had the opportunity to work alongside the research project manager, emergency department physicians, and five EMS agencies on a pre-hospital airway management trial. I was given the opportunity to create a plan which illustrated how we would inform all 29 counties in the ENC about the study. I am so lucky to have had the opportunity to work with such a great group of individuals who collectively seek to find innovative and efficient ways to provide health services.

To the future students of the MPH program: Take every opportunity that you can to network! A huge part of servicing the community is collaborating and creating partnerships with others. You’ll be amazed at what opportunities you can be a part of by just networking!
